About Floods Be Gone
Floods Be Gone is an independent buying-guide site about sump pumps. We help homeowners pick a pump, add a backup and keep the whole setup working.
Our readers are people with a pit in the basement or crawl space. Some are replacing a pump that just quit, and some want to be ready before the next big storm.
What we cover
We cover primary sump pumps from Zoeller, Wayne, Superior Pump, Liberty, Little Giant, Red Lion and other brands. We sort them by horsepower, housing, switch type and the job they do.
We also cover the parts around the pump. That means battery backups, high water alarms, check valves, float switches and the pit itself.
How we work
We read the specs, the switch and discharge details and each maker's own information for every pump we cover. We also look at what owners often report after a few seasons of use.
Then we turn that research into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page explains each step.
What we are not
We don't make or sell sump pumps, and no brand pays us to rank its products. Floods Be Gone isn't affiliated with Zoeller, Wayne, Superior Pump, Liberty or any other maker.
We don't claim to have run every pump in a basement of our own. When we pick a model, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.
We don't give wiring or plumbing steps that belong to a pro. A sump pump runs on household power and ties into your drain lines, so follow the maker's manual and local code, and call a licensed plumber or electrician when you're unsure.
How the site is paid for
Some links here go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never decides which pumps we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
